New York suffered more loss of life than any other site on September 11, 2001. In remembrance of the city's tragic loss and inspiring courage, Trevor Bayne will take the wheel of the #16 Fastenal / Honoring Our Heroes Ford Mustang at Richmond on September 9.
Bayne's patriotic Ford features a silhouette of the New York skyline, with the Twin Towers still standing. The name of hero U.S. Army Specialist Brendan Marrocco - the first American to lose four limbs in combat and survive - is painted in tribute on the rear deck lid.
The Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation logos are featured on the hood, sides and deck lid. A portion of proceeds from the sale of this diecast will go directly to the Foundation for the construction of customized homes for wounded soldiers like Marrocco.
