To celebrate Wood's last NASCAR win, Bayne's #21 Motorcraft / NASCAR Hall of Fame Ford was painted in the same colors as the 1963 Ford Galaxie that Wood drove to victory at Bowman-Gray Stadium on July 13, 1963.
