"Gentleman" Ned Jarrett is a two time champion in the Premier Series winning titles in 1961 and 1965. Jarrett also won two Sportsman Series titles in 1957 and 1958. He finished his career with 50 victories and one of those is still a record as he won the Southern 500 by 14 laps. After retiring from driving he would later grab the microphone and become a television broadcaster for the sport of NASCAR. His greatest moment in broadcasting may be remembered for the call of the 1993 DAYTONA 500 which was won by son Dale.
